Welcome to TabletMag.com, the web site of Nextbook Inc.’s Tablet Magazine (“Our Site”). This user agreement (“User Agreement”), which includes our Privacy Policy sets forth the conditions for your use of Our Site. Please read this User Agreement carefully, because by using Our Site, you consent to these conditions, including our collection and use of information about you in accordance with the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this User Agreement, you are not authorized to use Our Site.
We may update this User Agreement, including our Privacy Policy, from time to time by posting the modified User Agreement on this page. If we determine that it’s appropriate, we may post a notice of the change on our home page. By continuing to use Our Site after we have posted such modifications or notice, you agree to the modified terms.

Our Site’s content is protected by United States and international copyright laws and other intellectual property laws.

Trademark
NEXTBOOK, TABLET A NEW READ ON JEWISH LIFE, the arrow design, and other logos and trademarks displayed on Our Site (collectively “Trademarks”) are owned by Nextbook Inc. (“Nextbook”). The Trademarks may not be used (i) in connection with any product or service that does not belong to Nextbook, (ii) in any manner that is likely to cause confusion about whether Nextbook is the source, sponsor, or endorser of the product or service, or (iii) in any manner that disparages or discredits Nextbook.
Links, Frames and Metatags
You may not frame the content of Our Site unless you first obtain our express written consent. You may not use metatags or any other “hidden text” that incorporates our Trademarks or our name without our express written consent. You may link to the home page of Our Site as long as the link does not defame us or cast us in a false or misleading light. You may not link to one of our inner pages unless the link clearly identifies Our Site as the location of the linked pages. By sending a letter to the Editor, you grant Nextbook a nonexclusive, royalty-free license to reproduce and distribute the letter, in whole or in part, for any purpose, in any media, whether now known or later created. Hard copies will not be returned to you.
We welcome criticism and debate, but to ensure a civil environment, please be advised that we will not post any letters to the Editor containing content (i) that we find to be libelous, obscene, abusive, or threatening; (ii) that infringes any third party’s copyright or other proprietary rights; or (iii) that violates anyone’s right of privacy or publicity.
Advice and Opinions
Our Site contains facts, views, opinions, and statements of third parties, users, and other organizations (“Third-Party Material”). Tablet magazine and Nextbook, its parents, affiliates, and subsidiaries (“Nextbook Parties”) do not make any representations concerning the accuracy or reliability of any Third-Party Material displayed on or distributed through our website. Our Site contains links to other sites and resources on the Internet controlled by third parties. These links are provided solely as a convenience to our users and do not constitute an endorsement by the Nextbook Parties. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR THESE KINDS OF DAMAGES, SO THESE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Termination
We reserve the right to terminate any services offered through Our Site or to terminate Our Site and this User Agreement at any time without notice, for any reason, including, in the case of the User Agreement, because of your violation of any of these provisions. The Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability and Governing Law Sections of this User Agreement survive any termination.
Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by and any disputes relating to this User Agreement should be decided under the laws of the State of New York applicable to contracts made and completely performed there.
Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is deemed unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision is considered severed and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
We know that you care how information about you is used and shared. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes our treatment of your personal information, how you can make choices about that treatment, and how you can request access to your information.
This Privacy Statement applies to your use of Our Site only. We do not own, operate or control the web sites of the vendors that assist us in maintaining Our Site, including our Survey Vendor, our newsletter vendor, or our webhost (collectively, “Vendors”). Accordingly, this Statement does not apply to our Vendors’ web sites or our Vendors’ collection, use, storage and disclosure of your Personal Information, except where stated otherwise.
Collection and Use of Information
This section describes the types of information we collect and the purpose for collection.
Your Personal Information. We ask you to submit personal information, including your name, email and postal addresses, and phone number (“Personal Information”), when you submit letters to the Editor, sign up for our newsletter, and email an article to a third party. If you use our “email this article” feature, we will ask for your email address and the email address of the recipient.
How We Use Your Personal Information. We use your Personal Information in order to publish your letters to the Editor, to fulfill your requests, including through our Vendors, and, if you sign up for our newsletter, to send you emails containing our articles and features and survey invitations. If you use our “email this article” feature, we use the Personal Information you give us solely to send the article by email to the recipient you designate. We do not store either address.
Newsletter and Surveys. When you sign up for our newsletter, from time to time we may send you emails inviting you to participate in a survey hosted by our third-party survey vendor (“Survey Vendor”), which will share the results with us. The results of the surveys help us to improve Our Site. Because the surveys are hosted by the Survey Vendor, its use of the information you submit is governed by its privacy policy. The surveys include requests for your demographic information, such as your age, but not your name or other Personal Information and the results are not connected to your email address. You may unsubscribe from our newsletter and these survey invitations at any time by following the “unsubscribe” link in any newsletter email. However, you cannot separately opt out of receiving survey invitations if you wish to receive our newsletter.
Sharing Information. We will make your Personal Information available on Our Site when we publish your letters to the Editor and to our Vendors that assist us in delivering electronic mailings and provide hosting and maintenance for Our Site. Your answers to the survey questions will be available to us and the Survey Vendor.
In the event of a transfer of ownership of Nextbook or Tablet Magazine, such as a merger with another organization, we reserve the right to transfer your personal information.
We may disclose and use Personal Information in special circumstances when it is necessary to enforce our User Agreement or this Privacy Policy, or when we, in good faith, believe that the law requires us to disclose your personal information to third parties.
Anonymous Information
Our server automatically collects certain anonymous information, such as the number of users visiting each page of Our Site, the IP address of each user’s computer, the browser each user employs, and the sites from which users come to Our Site. We may also use cookies to track traffic on specific areas of Our Site. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser to enable our systems to recognize your computer. If you choose, you can remove our cookies by using disabling them in your Internet browser. We use all this anonymous information only on an aggregate basis to evaluate how our users use and navigate Our Site so that we can continue to improve Our Site. We do not link this anonymous information to your Personal Information.
We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our website. These companies may use information (not including your name, address, email address, or telephone number) about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from users under thirteen years of age. If we discover that a person under thirteen years of age has submitted his or her Personal Information to us, we will delete his or her Personal Information from our files. Despite our best efforts, no transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Therefore, you provide us with your information at your own risk.
Location of Servers and Transfer of Information
Our servers are located in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States, be aware that the information you provide to us will be transferred to the United States. By using Our Site or providing your Personal Information to us, you consent to this transfer and to the collection, storage, processing, and use of your Personal Information in the United States. If you are located in the United States, our service providers may not be located in your geographic area in the United States. By providing Your Personal Information to us, you consent to the transfer of Your Personal Information to these service providers.
