Honoring Elie Wiesel at the USHMM’s Inaugural Museum Award

The Museum is conferring its highest honor on Founding Chairman Elie Wiesel, one of humanity’s most remarkable individuals, in recognition of the singular role he has played in establishing and advancing the cause of Holocaust remembrance. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Award will be given annually to an internationally prominent individual whose actions have advanced the Museum’s vision of creating a world where people confront hatred, prevent genocide, and promote human dignity.
